Hotel websites, checked in and checked over
Homepage, booking, visibility on Google and AI tools: Premiere.Page’s Baromètre Digital de l’Hôtellerie 2026 analyses the 8,906 websites of the 13,288 establishments listed in the Atout France register, using raw data.
An SEO agency specialising in hospitality, founded in 2013 in Anglet on the Basque coast, Premiere.Page has 28 search experts and supports more than 700 businesses. For this study, it starts from a public source, the Atout France register, and queries Google, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity across 40 cities.
The findings speak for themselves. One hotel in three leaves its city out of its website title, and one in eight offers no way to book from the homepage. On the « hotel + city » search, Booking comes first six times out of ten. When it comes to languages, more than one hotel in four speaks only to French visitors, while 92% of Paris websites offer English and 59% of websites in the Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin offer German.
« The hotels doing best are those that have taken back control of their direct bookings, » says Jérôme Tellechea, CEO of the agency.
The barometer sets out eight SEO and GEO actions. Three of them take less than a day: putting the city in the title, displaying the phone number at the top of the page and making the « Book » button visible from the homepage. Designed specially for the show, the full study is free to download at premiere.page.
